Bannu Attack: Suicide Bombing Claims Lives in Pakistan.webp

April 03, New Delhi — A suicide bomber in a vehicle packed with explosives killed at least three women and two children at a house in northwestern Pakistan.

The attack took place in Bannu, a district in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which borders the country's formerly self-governed tribal areas.

Four other people were injured in the blast. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

However, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant group that has intensified attacks in Pakistan since the Taliban returned to power in Kabul in 2021, routinely targets security forces in the region.

Islamabad has accused neighboring Afghanistan of failing to eliminate terrorists sheltering on Afghan soil to stage attacks in Pakistan, a charge the Taliban government denies.
