Chennai, March 12. Director Manu Antony has praised actor Joju George for his performance in his upcoming Malayalam film 'Aja: Sundari', alongside actress Lijomol Jose, stating that the character, Reji, portrayed by Joju George, exceeded the team's expectations due to his performance.
In a post on his Instagram page, the director wrote, "When I finished writing the script for 'Aja: Sundari', the main character, Reji, was a complex and emotionally rich character. Dear Joju Chettan, the character went far beyond what we had written, thanks to you."
He continued, "I am very grateful to Joju Chettan for your presence and performance. It was an honor to have you with us. Many more great roles are waiting for you! @jojugeorgeactorofficial @opmcinemas #ajasundhari."
It may be recalled that the production team had recently announced the completion of the film's shooting.
Aashiq Abu, who has produced the film and also served as its cinematographer, expressed his gratitude to everyone who worked on the film on his Instagram page. Aashiq Abu wrote, "Thank you to everyone who supported this film. @getmanuantony's debut film, 'Aja: Sundari', will soon be in cinemas."
The film has generated significant interest among fans and film enthusiasts for several reasons.
Firstly, the film marks the directorial debut of Manu Antony, who is known for his skills as an editor. Manu Antony is best known for editing the successful action thriller 'Pani', in which Joju George played the lead role.
In October last year, the film's makers posted a picture of the core team working on the film and wrote, "Sun, sweat, smiles — and a shared dream. A @getmanuantony mission."
'Aja: Sundari', which has a fantastic star cast, also boasts an equally brilliant technical team. The film, written, edited, and directed by Manu Antony himself, has been produced by Aashiq Abu, who has also served as the film's cinematographer.
Geethartha AR has co-written the script with additional screenplay by Saneth Radhakrishnan. Alongside Aashiq Abu, Jaison Francis has also co-produced this film, which is being presented by the popular production house OPM Cinemas.
The music for 'Aja: Sundari' has been composed by Drumyuga, while the production design is handled by Ajayan Challissery. The art direction is by Midhun Challissery. The costumes for the film are designed by Mashar Hamza. The action sequences in the film are choreographed by Robin.
