Bengaluru, March 17 A minor girl was killed on Tuesday, allegedly by her fiancé, who slit her throat after taking her to an abandoned house in the city, police said.
The incident occurred after the 25-year-old, Sabeel, took the victim to the abandoned house in the DH Halli area, they said.
The matter came to light when her body, lying in a pool of blood, was discovered by her family members, who immediately alerted the police.
A senior police officer, citing preliminary investigation, said that Sabeel was engaged to the 17-year-old girl.
"We have registered a murder case against him, and we are searching for the suspect, who is currently on the run. The motive behind the murder is not yet clear, and it is part of our investigation," he said.
