New Delhi, April 7 Venture Capital firm Bessemer has led a ₹100-crore funding round for Offbeat, a new venture being set up by Boat Co-Founder Aman Gupta, the investment firm said on Tuesday.
The statement did not provide further details about Offbeat.
"We back founders who see around corners. Aman saw how a new India would think about aspiration, identity, and quality, and built boAt as proof. He is now applying that same instinct to a market being reshaped by AI and by a generation with entirely new expectations. That is exactly the intersection Bessemer exists to back," said Anant Vidur Puri, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners.
Bessemer said that India is undergoing a structural shift, and a digitally native, aspirational generation is rewriting what companies must stand for, how they communicate, what they represent, and how they earn loyalty.
"At the same time, AI and technology are fundamentally reshaping how businesses are built, discovered, and scaled. The founders who will define this moment are those who understand both the cultural shift and the technology enabling it. OFF/BEAT is built for this moment," the statement said.
Gupta co-founded boAt and scaled it to over ₹3,000 crore in revenue.
"Having built from scratch before, I know what capital can do and what it cannot. This time, I was looking for partners with a global perspective who can help me leverage technology and AI, because that's where the future lies. Bessemer's track record with companies like Anthropic, Shopify, Canva, and LinkedIn says it all," Gupta said.
