UDHAMPUR, March 3, 2026: In Udhampur, the Department of Social Welfare distributed baby kits to newborn girls at the Associated GMC Hospital, in the Labour Room Wards, as part of the "Beti Vivah Mukt Bharat" campaign.
Led by District Social Welfare Officer Kanika Gupta, the initiative aims to provide maternal and child care support to BPL families while discouraging child marriage. Mothers were assured of full departmental support. The program is part of the ongoing "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" activities in preparation for International Women's Day.
