Gangtok, April 8 French Ambassador Thierry Mathou arrived in Sikkim on Wednesday for a five-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
He was accompanied by his spouse, Cecil Mathou.
The ambassador was warmly received at the Rangpo Tourist Facilitation Centre by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sujata Subba.
During his stay, Mathou is scheduled to participate in a series of engagements focused on strengthening ties, officials said.
