Chandigarh, April 3 BJP Punjab working president Ashwani Sharma on Friday alleged that the inauguration plaques for 109 new Aam Aadmi Clinics and two irrigation projects in Fatehgarh Sahib show that the governance of Punjab is being controlled by Delhi-based leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
He claimed that the name of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was placed at the top of the plaques, even above that of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his cabinet ministers.
Sharma said this raises serious constitutional questions, as Kejriwal does not hold any official position in the Punjab government.
He added that such actions have created concern among the people and questioned the silence of the chief minister, cabinet and AAP MLAs on the issue.
Calling it a matter of Punjab's dignity and autonomy, Sharma alleged that the practice reflects interference by Delhi leadership in the state's functioning and demanded an explanation from the government.
