
The BJP has released its second list of 111 candidates for the upcoming West Bengal state assembly elections. Former Union Minister Nisith Pramanik will contest from the Mathabhanga assembly constituency. Former Rajya Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly has been nominated from Sonarpur Dakshin.
Former hockey player Bharat Chhetri will contest from the Kalimpong assembly seat. Meanwhile, the party has nominated Noman Rai as its candidate from Darjeeling. The 294-member West Bengal Assembly will go to polls in two phases on the 23rd and 29th of next month. Counting of votes will take place on May 4th.
