Thiruvananthapuram, March 16 BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Monday that the party and the NDA would present positive politics during the election campaign in Kerala.

He was speaking to reporters after welcoming those who had left other political parties, including the Congress and CPI(M), and social groups to join the BJP.

"In the next 23 days until the election date, we will focus on issues that are affecting the people of the state. We are not interested in any controversy. We will move forward with positive politics because that is what the people want," he said.

He said that the Congress and CPI(M) would raise issues to divert public attention during the election campaign.

"This election is crucial and will determine our future. People should ignore the matters that will be brought up by the Congress and CPI(M) to divert attention," he said.

The BJP's focus is on development politics in Kerala, he said. He also released the party's election campaign song.

Among the prominent personalities who joined the BJP were Congress leader Thodiyoor Ramachandran, cardiologist Dr Prathap Kumar, and CPI(M) leader N A Rasheed. It is expected that the BJP and NDA allies will conclude the seat-sharing talks and announce the candidates soon.
