Mumbai, March 1: Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan came together for the Indian Super Gaming League event held in Mumbai.
Ranbir is a co-owner of the Indian Super League team, Mumbai City FC, while Abhishek is one of the stakeholders in Chennaiyin FC.
During the event, Ranbir shared some interesting anecdotes about Abhishek's gaming skills.
When asked about the best FIFA player, Ranbir revealed that the actor known as "Guru" has played with everyone in the industry.
Reacting to this, Abhishek immediately stated that the actor Boman Irani is the best.
Addressing the audience, Abhishek shared that the gaming industry is growing rapidly.
Speaking about the future of esports in the country, he said, "If you look at the figures, gaming as an industry is even bigger than films right now. In fact, it is three times the revenue."
Abhishek emphasized that gaming is the future, and it will also be a part of the Olympics soon.
"What's nice about it is that it's also very inclusive. It's not just about physicality, but also about the overall experience," he added.
Abhishek pointed out that gaming is now a part of everyday life.
"Even from a very young age, we were taught educational tools through games, which wasn't the case for us. So, this is just a natural evolution for the next generation, and it's definitely here to stay," he explained.
The Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL) is a franchise-based youth esports league that features competitive gaming, live events, creators, and entertainment experiences.
Regarding his work, Ranbir has two promising projects lined up for release. He will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Love and War", alongside his wife Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
Additionally, he will also play the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's "Ramayana".
As for Abhishek, he has been roped in to play a crucial role in Shah Rukh Khan-led "King".
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the project will also feature SRK's daughter Suhana Khan in a key role.
