
Jamshedpur, March 24 Personnel from the Indian Army and the police's bomb disposal squad are scheduled to defuse a suspected World War II-era bomb on Wednesday morning in East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, a senior official said.
The 200-kg bomb, resembling a gas cylinder, was discovered during sand excavation along the Panipada-Nagudsai stretch in the Baharagora area last week.
Army personnel, led by an officer of colonel rank, and members of the bomb disposal squad from Ranchi had inspected the site, about 90 km from Jamshedpur, on Monday, he said.
The team also conducted a mapping of the site using drones.
Meanwhile, the personnel also recovered another bomb of a similar shape from a villager's house during inspection of the site on Monday, SP (Rural) Rishabha Garg told
