Ramban, April 9: The 84th Battalion of the CRPF observed "Shaurya Diwas" at its Tactical Headquarters in Boom, Ramban, paying tribute to the fallen martyrs and recalling the 1965 Battle of Rann of Kutch, where CRPF personnel displayed exceptional bravery.

Commandant N. Ranbir Singh highlighted the sacrifice of six CRPF martyrs and reaffirmed the force's commitment to duty and service.

On the occasion, First Lady N. Gayabati Devi inaugurated a pickleball court – the first of its kind in the CRPF in J&K – and a Kendriya Police Kalyan Bandar building. The initiative aims to promote sports, fitness, and well-being among personnel and locals.

A friendly match was also held, with the unit noting plans to extend sports facilities and activities to local youth in the future.
