
Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir, in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kathua, organized a farmers' awareness and training program under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, focusing on potato cultivation.
The program aimed to educate farmers about modern techniques, improved practices, and scientific approaches to enhance potato production. Experts from SKUAST-K and KVK Kathua interacted with the participants, sharing practical insights and strategies to boost crop yield and ensure sustainable farming practices.
During the event, farmers were provided with vegetable seed kits along with essential agricultural inputs to promote vegetable cultivation and strengthen their livelihood opportunities.
The initiative also highlighted the importance of empowering farmers from Scheduled Caste communities through specialized training programs, ensuring inclusive growth in the agricultural sector.
The program was well received by participants, who appreciated the guidance and support provided by the experts.
