Today, the Department of Agriculture organized a two-day training program-cum-refresher course for Krishi Udhyamis under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship and enhancing the capabilities of progressive farmers in the district.

The program concluded with active participation from Krishi Udhyamis and field functionaries. The training sessions focused on modern agricultural practices, value addition, agri-business management, and effective implementation of HADP initiatives at the grassroots level.

Speaking on the occasion, Tirath Singh Balwal, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer, emphasized the importance of continuous skill upgrading for agri-entrepreneurs. He stated that refresher courses are essential to keep Krishi Udhyamis updated on technological advancements, government schemes, and market-oriented farming strategies.

Interacting with the media, he informed that the two-day program covered key aspects such as integrated farming systems, organic cultivation, high-value crops, post-harvest management, and financial linkages under HADP. Subject experts from the department delivered detailed lectures and addressed participants' queries.

Balwal reiterated that the Department of Agriculture remains committed to empowering farmers and agri-entrepreneurs through regular capacity-building initiatives, enabling them to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the rural economy.
