
3,000 Solar Units Distributed in Kupwara
Bharat CSR Network and the Kupwara district administration launched a program to distribute 3,000 home solar units to households in remote areas.
February 16, Srinagar: Bharat CSR Network, in collaboration with the Kupwara District Administration, organized a home solar distribution program at the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Kupwara.
The solar units were formally distributed by District Commissioner Balasaheb Suse, in the presence of district officials and representatives of Bharat CSR Network.
Under this initiative, 3,000 solar lights will be distributed across the district, targeting households in remote and underserved areas. The project aims to expand access to reliable and environmentally friendly energy, reduce reliance on conventional power sources, and promote sustainable living.
Dr. Sajid Saiyed, chairperson of Bharat CSR Network, said the organization remains committed to supporting the administration in advancing inclusive development and strengthening last-mile connectivity through corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Officials said the program reflects cooperation between the civil administration and the non-profit sector to improve living standards and encourage environmental responsibility through access to clean energy.
