Beed, March 26 A boy has been arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl in a temple in Beed and threatening to kill her if she did not accept his "love note," a police official said on Thursday.
The incident took place around 10 am on Tuesday when the girl was in the temple in Ashti tehsil along with her father, the official added.
"The accused, who is also a minor, grabbed the girl's hand, professed his love for her and tried to thrust a note into her hand claiming he would kill her and then himself if she refused to accept it. When she refused to take the love note, he created a ruckus," the Ashti police station official said.
After the girl informed her parents, the boy, also from her village, was booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, he added.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, the official said.
