
Ghaziabad (UP), March 21 Haryanvi dancer Monika Chaudhary accused the Loni Police of illegally detaining her brother at the Ashok Vihar police outpost and denying him legal assistance.
Chaudhary also cited the lack of support from Hindu communities on the issue and said she intends to convert to Islam.
The dancer said she had been searching for her brother and only found out about his location after receiving a phone call. She said her brother was released from police custody after the intervention of local BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gujjar.
Chaudhary also claimed that the police threatened her brother with "dire consequences" if he disclosed the details of his detention.
Expressing fear that the police might implicate him in false cases, the dancer said she has lost all hope of receiving justice from senior Loni Police officials.
Meanwhile, in a video, Chaudhary was seen telling reporters that she did not receive support from the Hindu community or local Hindu organizations, and hence she is thinking of converting to Islam.
