Lucknow, February 24 A senior BSNL director's visit to Prayagraj, which was almost meticulously planned like a royal itinerary, was called off after it became the subject of controversy. The controversy involved nearly 50 officials and every minor detail, including arranging for hair oil, underwear, and combs.

According to an office order that went viral on social media, the proposed two-day visit of Vivek Banzal, director (CFA) of the BSNL Board, was scheduled for February 25-26.

On Tuesday, some of the officials assigned with the tasks for Banzal's visit confirmed that his trip had been cancelled.

According to the office order, around 20 tasks were assigned to nearly 50 officials.

The planned itinerary included bathing in the Sangam, a boat ride, and visits to the Bade Hanuman Mandir, Akshayavat, and Patalpuri temples. The "snan" kits consisted of a towel, undergarment, slippers (referred to as "sleeper" in the office order), a comb, a mirror, and an oil bottle.

The office order also stated that six sets for men (consisting of a towel, undergarment, mirror, comb, soap, shampoo, and oil) and two sets for women should be arranged.

The order also instructed the arrangement of one bedsheet for general use at the ghat.

At the hotel and Circuit House, the order specified that dry fruit bowls, fruit bowls, shaving kits, towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, a comb, and oil should be arranged.
