Lucknow, March 22 Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati said on Sunday that whenever and wherever her party has gained strength, Dalits, tribals, OBCs, and minority communities have greatly benefited.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, Mayawati said that it is necessary to take control of power into our own hands to properly implement the legal and constitutional rights given by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar for the benefit, welfare, and upliftment of the Bahujan across the country, and to enable them to live in an egalitarian society with self-respect.

The BSP founder, Kanshi Ram, dedicated his entire life to this cause. His unfinished mission is now being pursued with enthusiasm by Mayawati, the statement said.

"The need of the hour is to work diligently to achieve the objectives of security, respect, and identity for the Bahujan, and to achieve electoral success. Whenever and wherever the BSP has gained strength, Dalits, tribals, OBCs, and minority communities have greatly benefited," Mayawati said in the statement.

In the meeting of BSP state committee members from Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh with Mayawati held on Sunday, the guidelines given in the last All India meeting were reviewed in detail, and satisfaction was expressed over the progress made.

In Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, the struggle to become the ruling class by taking the Ambedkarite movement forward with full dedication and devotion was appreciated, and it was said that this is the only way to get freedom from caste-based exploitation and anti-poor rule, the statement said.
