
New Delhi, March 20 Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met with members of the transgender community on Friday and sought their suggestions for the upcoming annual budget, which will be presented in the assembly next week.
In a post on X, Gupta said she had a meaningful discussion with members of the third gender community at the Delhi Secretariat.
They welcomed the Delhi government's decision to provide them with free bus rides through Pink smart cards, she said.
"They also shared their suggestions and expectations. These suggestions will be incorporated into the upcoming budget, with the aim of building an inclusive and developed Delhi," she said.
The chief minister has been holding a series of meetings with various sections of society, including working women, gig workers, laborers, farmers, teachers, students, medical professionals, and others, ahead of the budget presentation on March 24.
