Gujarat's Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presented the budget for the fiscal year 2026, totaling over 4 lakh crore rupees. The budget includes the creation of a development fund of 50,000 crore rupees for scholarships, as well as a visionary plan to prepare for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and promote tourism. Mr. Desai has not made any changes to the tax rates. The 5% tax exemption on electric vehicles remains in place.
