The second phase of the parliamentary budget session began today. When the Lok Sabha convened at 11:00 AM, the House paid tribute to Dr. Ricky Andrew J. Syngkon, the sitting MP from Shillong and leader of the Voice of the People Party, who had recently passed away. The House also paid tribute to the four former members, including Kumari Sushila Tririya, Devi Bux Singh, Purnmasi Ram, and K.P. Unnikrishnan. The members of the House also observed a moment of silence in his memory. Following the tributes, the House was adjourned until 12:00 noon.
