
March 16, New Delhi – Proceedings continued in both Houses of Parliament on Monday as the second part of the Budget Session remained in progress.
In the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the Stand-Up India Scheme, previously extended until March 31, 2025, is being revised based on implementation studies.
She said a new proposal will soon be presented to the Cabinet to launch a new scheme that will continue the benefits of the initiative.
In the Rajya Sabha, Health and Family Welfare Minister J. P. Nadda criticised the opposition, saying he was saddened by what he termed as political maneuvering amid the ongoing West Asia crisis.
Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu informed lawmakers about the government's efforts to facilitate travel for people affected by the situation in West Asia.
