
Bulandshahr (UP), March 20 The two drivers were killed after a truck and a tractor-trailer collided head-on near the Jahangirabad police station on Friday, officials said.
According to police, a cement-laden tractor-trailer traveling towards Bulandshahr collided with a truck carrying rice, which was coming from the opposite direction.
The tractor driver, identified as Girish (25), a resident of Sambhal district, died while being taken to a local health center.
The truck driver, Mahendra (50), a resident of Bulandshahr, died while being transferred to a higher medical center in Meerut, police said.
Inspector Sanjesh Kumar, in-charge of the Jahangirabad police station, said that the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
