Bulandshahr (UP), March 18 Two men working on a road construction site were killed after they were crushed under a truck that overturned in the Bulandshahr district on Wednesday morning, police said.

The incident took place near Mubarakpur village, where the truck carrying stone dust suffered a mechanical failure while reversing, causing the vehicle to overturn after its entire weight tilted to one side, they said.

Four people working at the site were trapped under the truck. While two were rescued safely, two others – Rakesh (30) and Pawan (35), both from Rahimkot in the district – died, Khurja Circle Officer Shobhit Kumar said.

"The truck carrying construction material overturned around 7 am. Two workers died in the accident, while two others were pulled out safely. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Necessary legal proceedings are underway," the officer said.
