Kolkata, March 1 Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly against the West Indies, taking two wickets in an over, and Hardik Pandya took one, as the Caribbean team reached 125/4 after 15 overs in their T20 World Cup match here on Sunday.

The Indian star dismissed Shimron Hetmyer, who had scored 27 off 12 balls (1 four, 2 sixes) in the 12th over, for a crucial breakthrough.

Hetmyer attempted a pull shot on a short delivery, but the ball went through Sanju Samson's gloves after taking a faint edge. The batter unsuccessfully challenged the decision.

Bumrah then surprised Roston Chase (40 off 25 balls; 5 fours, 1 six) with a short ball and had the West Indies batter caught by Suryakumar Yadav at cover.

In the 13th over, Sherfane Rutherford narrowly missed a six when a powerful hit went over Tilak Varma's leaping hands off Axar Patel. However, Pandya dismissed him for 14 in the 15th over.

Jason Holder (6 not out) was accompanied by Rovman Powell, who was on 3 at the end of 15 overs.
