
New Delhi, April 9 In a bureaucratic reshuffle, the Delhi government has transferred 33 IAS and DANICS cadre officers, assigning the additional chief secretary and administrative reform portfolios to Prashant Goyal.
Goyal, an IAS officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, who was serving as Financial Commissioner, was relieved of this charge, according to a department order issued on Wednesday.
Narendra Kumar, an IAS officer of the 1989 batch, who is awaiting posting, will be the new Financial Commissioner of Delhi. Soumya Saurabh (IAS, 2014) will also handle the additional charge of special secretary (industries), in addition to her current role as district magistrate of North West Delhi, the order stated.
Sonika Singh (IAS, 2015), special secretary and private secretary to the Lt Governor of Delhi, has been transferred as Commissioner of DDA, the order said.
A DANICS cadre officer of the 2006 batch, holding the position of additional director (social welfare) in Delhi and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has been transferred to the position of additional commissioner (GST), Harshit Jain (DANICS, 2014), joint director (education), will oversee preparatory activities related to the 2027 census, it added.
The reshuffle also involved administrative changes, with transfers and postings affecting Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), Additional District Magistrates (ADMs), and District Magistrates (DMs) across various districts.
