
Kathmandu, April 7 Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel on Tuesday revised the ranking of ministers in the cabinet led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
The order of precedence was changed at the recommendation of the prime minister, according to a notice issued by the President's office.
Prime Minister Shah remains at the top of the list, and in the second position is Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle.
According to the reshuffled cabinet ranking, Home Minister Sudan Gurung has moved down from third to fifth position, while Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is now ranked third, moving up from fourth position.
Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, who was previously in sixth position, has been placed fourth.
Similarly, Physical Infrastructure Minister Sunil Lamsal has been moved from fourth to sixth place.
Minister for Law and Justice Sobita Gautam has climbed from 12th to seventh, while Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Sita Wadi has been promoted from 15th to eighth.
The ministers for federal affairs, health, education and tourism have been placed in ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th positions, respectively. Similarly, the ministers for communication, agriculture and labour have been placed in 13th, 14th and 15th positions.
The Balen-led cabinet took the oath of office and secrecy on March 27.
