March 28, New Delhi: Indian cricket icon MS Dhoni is expected to miss the initial phase of the 2026 Indian Premier League due to a calf strain. Chennai Super Kings, in an official statement, said that Dhoni is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is likely to miss the first two weeks of the tournament.
Dhoni has scored 5,439 runs in 242 innings for Chennai and is the sixth-highest run-scorer in the tournament's history. CSK will begin their season on March 30 against the 2008 champions, Rajasthan Royals, in Guwahati.
