
Lohardaga, March 13 Two drug peddlers were arrested with 433 kg of cannabis worth over Rs 2.16 crore in Lohardaga district, Jharkhand, police said on Friday.
The consignment was seized from a truck near the Cutcherry More Railway overbridge during a vehicle checking drive, following a tip-off, he said.
"The recovered cannabis was stored in 154 packets inside a box in the truck bound for Uttar Pradesh," said Ratnesh Mohan Thakur, Officer-in-Charge of the Lohardaga police station.
The accused are from Saran and Gonda in Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh, he said.
The duo has been sent to judicial custody, and further investigation is underway, Thakur added.
