NEW DELHI, APRIL 05: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched the first-ever “Administrative Capacity Building for Scientists and Academicians” program at the SADHANA Saptah, organized by the Capacity Building Commission at Vigyan Bhawan.

The initiative, under Mission Karmayogi, aims to equip scientists and academicians with governance and decision-making skills, addressing the long-standing gap in administrative training for those taking on leadership roles.

The Minister said the program will provide structured learning, reduce reliance on self-training, and evolve with emerging technologies like AI, while maintaining a balance with human judgement.

He also outlined new training modules, including courses on parliamentary procedures, and emphasized a shift from rule-based to role-based governance, integrating best practices from the private sector.

CBC Chairperson S. Radha Chauhan highlighted the need for adaptive, humane, and technology-driven governance.

On the occasion, initiatives such as the revamped UNNATI portal, the rollout roadmap of Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries were also launched to strengthen capacity-building and global collaboration.
