New Delhi, March 13 Coal production from captive and commercial mines has exceeded the 200 million tonne mark in the current financial year till March 11.
Of the total production, captive and commercial coal mines contributed 194.17 MT, while other mines contributed 6.06 MT, the Ministry of Coal said in a statement on Friday.
Coal dispatch has also maintained a steady upward trajectory, registering a 7.71 per cent year-on-year growth, increasing from 182.98 MT to 197.09 MT, it added.
