New Delhi, February 17 Prices of cottonseed oil cake increased by Rs 6 to Rs 3,215 per quintal in futures trading on Tuesday, as speculators created fresh positions due to higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for March delivery traded higher by Rs 6, or 0.19 percent, at Rs 3,215 per quintal, with an open interest of 55,850 lots. It had closed at Rs 3,209 per quintal in the previous session.
Market participants said that the widening of positions by participants, mainly due to increasing demand for cattle feed, mainly influenced the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
