New Delhi, April 7 The CBI has arrested a manager and an investigator of National Insurance Company Limited in a bribery case involving an amount of more than Rs 2.6 lakh, officials said on Tuesday.

The accused is alleged to have demanded an undue advantage of Rs 3 lakh from the complainant in order to reactivate the cashless medical facility for a private hospital in Manesar, Haryana.

The accused was deputed by National Insurance Company Limited to conduct an inquiry.

"It is further alleged that the complainant has already given a portion of the bribe, Rs 1,00,000, out of the demanded bribe of Rs 3,00,000. After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept an undue advantage of Rs 2,60,000 from the complainant," a spokesperson of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said in a statement.
