Prime Minister Modi described him as a towering spiritual figure in the country's civilization. In a social media post, PM Modi said that Guru Tegh Bahadur's life was a shining example of fearlessness, sacrifice, and deep concern for humanity. The Prime Minister stated that Guru Tegh Bahadur steadfastly defended truth, dignity, and faith, even in the face of immense adversity. Home Minister Amit Shah greeted the people on the Prakash Purab of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. In a social media post, Amit Shah said that Guru Tegh Bahadur made the ultimate sacrifice to protect Indian culture and humanity. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur considered it appropriate to give up his life rather than renounce his faith. The Home Minister said that by standing firm against the injustice and tyranny of cruel rulers, Guru Tegh Bahadur set an example of compassion and empathy. He said that recalling the life story of Guru Sahib fills the heart with pride.
