Mizoram enhances its sports development efforts with a new paragliding site: Mizoram Minister Prof. Lalnilawma inaugurates the Champhai District Aerosports Association Paragliding Take-off site and the Eco Cultural Park.
Aizawl, April 8, 2026: Mizoram is actively positioning itself as a leading adventure tourism hub, with a strong focus on aerosports, particularly paragliding, through the development of infrastructure, hosting international events, and establishing regulations. As part of the Sports Department's initiatives, Prof. Lalnilawma, Hon'ble Minister of State for RD, PHED, DM&R, etc., today inaugurated the Champhai District Aerosports Association Paragliding Take-off site and the Eco Cultural Park in the Tlangsam village. Champhai district Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aaquib and Mizoram Aerosports Association President J. Vanlalliana were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
