Minister C. Lalsawivunga has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the Zo community worldwide on the occasion of Chapchar Kut, encouraging everyone to celebrate the festival in peace and harmony.
In his message, the minister noted that Chapchar Kut has increasingly gained recognition among tourists. He emphasised that Mizo people residing in Mizoram should extend warm hospitality to visitors who travel to witness the celebrations, adding that it is the responsibility of everyone to showcase the beauty and richness of Mizo culture.
He further expressed hope that people would enjoy and celebrate Chapchar Kut, a festival widely known for promoting peace and harmony among communities.
Pu C. Lalsawivunga also stressed the importance of presenting Mizo identity to the world in a dignified and tasteful manner. He encouraged members of the Zo diaspora to contribute towards uplifting and strengthening the image and identity of the Zo people globally.
