
Chatra, March 24 A 40-year-old man died after an unqualified practitioner allegedly administered the wrong injections in Chatra district, Jharkhand, a police officer said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the Jori area on Monday evening, he said.
The accused reportedly fled after Vinod Singh's health began to deteriorate, police said.
According to the victim's brother-in-law, Singh was on his way to consult a doctor for a minor body pain, but encountered the unqualified practitioner midway.
The accused reportedly administered a couple of injections, and Singh's condition deteriorated soon after.
The unqualified practitioner later took Singh to Gaya in neighbouring Bihar for further treatment, and he died shortly after arriving, police said.
A search is underway to locate the accused, the officer said, adding that the practitioner's clinic has been sealed.
