Eleven fishermen who were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy and released from a Sri Lankan prison arrived in Chennai. Of the eleven fishermen, four were from Ramanathapuram, and the other seven were from the districts of Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai. They were arrested in July of last year and apprehended by the Sri Lankan Navy for entering international waters. They were then released from Sri Lankan prisons and handed over to Indian immigration authorities.
