February 23, Aizawl: In today's Assembly session, the Chief Minister of Mizoram, Lalduhoma, informed the House that ₹97 crore has been sanctioned to upgrade the Sairang Railway Station to a "world-class" standard, and that the Railway Ministry has already floated the tender.

In response to a question from Champhai North MLA H. Ginzalala regarding the General Administrative Department (GAD), Chief Minister and GAD in-charge, Lalduhoma, stated that our brothers and sisters from Manipur have been permitted to stay in Mizoram Houses in certain cities across India.

Regarding the expansion of the Guwahati 6 Mile Mizoram House and the construction of a new one in Bangalore, he stated that due to financial constraints, discussions were held with BSNL, and initiatives are underway across various cities in India to construct shared buildings on existing BSNL land.

Further responding to Champhai North MLA H. Ginzalala, the Chief Minister informed the House that the land vacated by the Assam Rifles is intended to be utilized to alleviate traffic congestion in Aizawl. He stated that there are plans to widen the road from Bazar Bungkawn to Treasury Square, and a bypass road is being planned from the Saron Veng BCM Church emerging at the Aizawl Head Post Office. He also mentioned that plans are being made to construct vehicle parking spaces.
