China Commits to Increased German Goods Imports.webp

February 26, Jerusalem, Israel – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz secured a commitment from China to import more high-quality goods from Germany during his visit to Beijing on Wednesday.

During his first visit to China as Chancellor, Mr. Merz was accompanied by a large business delegation.

Mr. Merz's visit followed his warning this month that the post-war international order, supported by the U.S. alliance with Europe, was no longer in effect, and that Europe must stand on its own in a world of great power rivalry.
