
Aizawl, April 8 Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Raj Bhushan Choudhary, visited the Saitual district on Wednesday and reviewed the development works in the area with officials and local stakeholders.
During a high-level meeting chaired by Saitual Deputy Commissioner Srinivas Sadi, the Union minister interacted with departmental heads and local leaders, who highlighted their needs and the challenges faced in the district, an official statement said.
Addressing the meeting, Choudhary reiterated his commitment to facilitating the district's progress across multiple sectors and assured the officials of the Centre's support in spurring the region's growth, it said.
Sadi briefed the minister about the district's achievements and departmental activities during the meeting. Choudhary also visited the district hospital, where he reviewed healthcare services and infrastructure.
Accompanied by Sadi and Saitual Superintendent of Police Gaurav Tyagi, the Union minister also inspected a water reservoir project at Sihfa village, which was constructed under the Centre's Jal Jeevan Mission, the statement added.
