
Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Minister of State Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani met Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan at the Parliament House in New Delhi today. During the meeting, the Vice-President was briefed on various initiatives undertaken by the Ministry aimed at rural transformation and public welfare, including housing for all, rural employment, skill development and capacity building, and community infrastructure. He was also informed about key government schemes such as Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin, and other flagship programs. The Vice-President commended the Rural Development Ministry for the transformative initiatives being undertaken in the rural development sector.
