
Shimla, March 23 The LPG shortage has brought back "chulhas" (traditional stoves) even at hotels like Hotel Holiday Home (HHH), which is the official caterer for the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) and a subsidiary of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation.
This shift hasn't been without its challenges, as the cooking staff has to deal with longer cooking times to maintain the same flavor.
According to a hotel employee, the cooks arrive at 7 am and start preparing food, using a seven-meter-long chulha to cook four dishes at a time.
"Traditional methods take longer, and it takes three hours more to prepare food for 600-700 people, including those having lunch in the Vidhan Sabha," said Arun Dulta, who supervises the kitchen at HHH, to
