
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a drug de-addiction awareness camp at the Government Higher Secondary School, Garhi Udhampur, as part of its Civic Action Programme today.
The 137th Battalion of the CRPF conducted the event to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encourage them to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
MLA Udhampur West, Pawan Kumar Gupta, attended the event as the chief guest, along with Commandant Manoj Kumar Sicon of the 137th Battalion. Addressing the audience, the MLA emphasized the urgent need for collective efforts to eradicate drug abuse and urged the youth to abstain from narcotics to make a meaningful contribution to society.
During the session, students were educated about the social and health consequences of drug addiction and motivated to spread awareness among their peers and communities.
The initiative aimed to strengthen community outreach and promote awareness about the importance of leading a disciplined and healthy life.
