Itanagar, March 29 The Assam Rifles organized a civic outreach program to distribute solar lights in a village in the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh, according to an official statement released on Sunday.

The initiative by the Khonsa Battalion of the paramilitary force was undertaken in the Old Paniduria village to provide sustainable lighting solutions and improve the quality of life for residents in remote areas.

The statement said that the project is expected to benefit the villagers by providing lighting during evening hours and promoting safety and convenience in their daily activities.

The Assam Rifles identified the project locations in coordination with village authorities to ensure that assistance reached the genuinely deserving sections of the community.

Residents praised the force for their thoughtful initiative and continued efforts for the welfare of the people, the statement added.

It said that the initiative reflects the Khonsa Battalion's commitment to community development and its dedication to strengthening goodwill, trust, and civil-military relations with the local population.
