Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu stated that Andhra Pradesh is steadily establishing itself as a global destination by transforming its regional disadvantages into strengths, particularly in Northern Andhra.
He was speaking at the CII Swarna Andhra Pradesh Conference held in Visakhapatnam today. The Union Minister credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for providing long-term, vision-driven leadership, noting that earlier initiatives such as Vision 2020 had laid the groundwork for current development.
He said that the state now has favorable conditions to achieve the Swarna Andhra 2047 goals, supported by strong Centre-State coordination.
Highlighting infrastructure as a growth driver, the Union Minister said that investments in national highways, ports, and airports are improving connectivity across regions. He added that the state aims to ensure airport access within two hours for all citizens while expanding port infrastructure from Srikakulam to Nellore. He also pointed to emerging sectors such as drone technology and IT as new growth engines.
