Bhubaneswar, March 2 The results of the Class 10 examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, are likely to be announced by the second week of May, an official said on Monday.

The Class 10 board examination, which began on February 19, concluded on Monday.

"The examination was conducted smoothly without any incidents such as question paper leaks or malpractice at the examination centers," BSE president Srikant Tarai told reporters in Cuttack.

Only a few minor incidents were reported and were immediately rectified, he said.

The Board president said that the process for evaluating the Objective Response Sheet (OMR) has been initiated, while the evaluation of subjective questions will begin from March 19.

Approximately 15,000 teachers will be engaged to evaluate the answer sheets at 51 centers, Tarai said.

The results are likely to be announced by the first or second week of May, he added.

Over 5.61 lakh students appeared for the board examination at 3,082 centers across Odisha.
