Classical Music Events at Nehru Park: March 14-15.webp

New Delhi, March 13 The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will organize classical music concerts at Nehru Park on March 14 and 15 as part of its "Music in the Park" series.

According to the statement, the concerts are being held in collaboration with the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) and the SRF Foundation, and they will begin at 6:30 pm.

Entry to the event will be free for the public, with access from Niti Marg.

On March 14, Carnatic vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyan will perform, accompanied by S Varadarajan on violin and Neyveli Venkatesh on mridangam.

Hindustani violinist N Rajam will also perform, accompanied by Ragini Shankar on violin and Abhishek Mishra on tabla, the statement read.

The second evening, on March 15, will feature Hindustani flautist Rakesh Chaurasia accompanied by Ojas Adhiya on tabla, and Hindustani vocalist Ulhas Kashalkar accompanied by Pt Suresh Talwalkar on tabla and Vinay Mishra on harmonium.

According to NDMC, the concerts aim to bring classical music to open public spaces and promote India's art and cultural traditions among residents and visitors in the national capital.
