
New Delhi, February 22 A major fire broke out at a cloth shop in the Old Seelampur area of Delhi on Sunday, an official said.
No casualties have been reported so far.
"We received a call at 4:22 pm regarding a fire at a cloth shop in the Shanti Mohalla area of Old Seelampur. Initially, we dispatched four fire tenders. However, the fire spread to other shops as well. So far, we have sent more than 30 fire tenders to extinguish the flames," the official said.
Azaz Ahmed Ansari, a shop owner, said that the fire started in his cloth shop and spread to several other shops.
The police have cordoned off the area and are conducting further investigations into the matter.
